During his tenure as the CEO of the Zila Parishad of
Kolhapur, Mr. Prabhakar Deshmukh has the distinction of being felicitated by for
excellence in administration by the Prime Minister. He had been the Agriculture
minister for Crop & Pest Surveillance and Advisory project, Cropsap &
pest management on major crops in Maharashtra. He has successfully introduced
multiple innovative concepts in his department like making it mandatory to
attend Gram Sabhas etc. Group farming is one major step Mr. Prabhakar Deshmukh
is encouraging now.
